A fast-growing international production company in Dordrecht seeks a sharp logistics mind who loves both numbers and people. If you enjoy juggling transport documents, solving shipping puzzles and keeping customers in the loop, this is your next career move.

The role in a nutshell:
You will be the control tower for all inbound and outbound shipments. From requesting freight quotes and booking trucks to clearing customs and updating our ERP, you make sure every pallet is at the right place, at the right time, with the right paperwork. Along the way you stay in constant contact with carriers, suppliers, customers and our production line to keep everyone informed and happy.
What you will do?
🚚 Book and track transport — road, ocean and air, arranging spot quotes and negotiating the best options;
📑 Create and verify CMRs, commercial invoices, packing lists and customs files;
📞 Act as first point of contact for carriers, suppliers and customers; solve issues before they escalate;
📦 Monitor inventory and delivery times so production never stops and customers never wait;
🛠️ Improve processes — suggest smarter workflows as our systems evolve;
🌍 Troubleshoot international shipments — think on your feet, keep all stakeholders informed.

Where will you be working?
Our client is located in Dordrecht and has experienced rapid growth in the production, storage, and trade of lecithin since 2016. With offices in the Netherlands and the United States, they serve a global customer base that depends on high-quality products. The team consists of 15 colleagues with 8 different nationalities, creating an open, informal atmosphere where communication lines are short.

Who are you?
🎓 Vocational or bachelor-level education in logistics, supply chain or similar;
🏢 At least one year inside a freight forwarder, 3PL or transport company;
🗣️ Fluent English, Dutch is a plus;
⚡ Quick with new software and thriving in fast-changing environments;
🚀 Ambition to grow into a logistics specialist within our niche.
